This video looks at the ideas behind finding the tangents and normals to curves using differentiation. It looks at why we might want to do this and use the idea of reciprocals to help us find the gradient of a normal if we know the gradient of a tangent.
This video looks at what stationary points are and how you can find them using differentiation. It looks at how to solve equations to find where the differential is equal to zero and the algebra needed to then find the co-ordinates.
This video takes a further look at stationary points considering the Point of Inflection. The video looks at finding the nature of stationary points by testing either side of the turning point and using double differentiation. There is a consideration of how it all looks graphically alongside how you can use double differentiation to find points of maximum gradient.
