This video is the first is a series of new videos which will explain how to do least squares regression to find the line of best fit for a scatter plot of roughly linear data. It looks at what the line of best fit is, how to find it using residuals and the least-squares method and what we use this for. Examples are used and backed by Cambridge Further Maths Units 3 and 4 textbook. This is a great video which is well explained and meets the needs of the current study design.
This is the third video in this series for the Further Maths Units 3 and 4 course dealing with Data Analysis for the Core Modules. In previous videos I have looked at what the least-squares regression line is and how we can calculate it by hand and using the CAS. Using the prior learning I am going to show you how to do a regression analysis and write a "kick-butt" report which should see those people at VCAA hail you as a Maths God.
This is the final video in this series dealing with regression analysis for the Core Data component of the Further Maths Units 3 and 4 course. Building on the previous three videos it looks at one last example of how to perform a regression analysis when you've been provided some data. It looks at the style of report you can write and how you can use the CAS to help you. VCAA questions are completed at the end of the video which link to the theory already covered.
