This video looks at how we can apply addition and multiplication principles to the Counting Methods topic area. A part of the Year 11 (VCE) Mathematical Methods Units 1 and 2 course, it shows how we can find the number of different possible outcomes there might be given choices. These choices depend on if they are order dependent or whether they can take place at the same time. I use a number of worked examples to scaffold the theory and explain everything in an easy to understand way.
