This video takes a look at how you can differentiate terms with rational powers. Now, it might seem like there might be a new rule we need to use when the powers are rational, but the truth is ... it's exactly the same! But, this video looks at building up the WHY it's the same ... or the HOW it's the same. A part of the Year 11 (VCE Units 1 and 2) Mathematical Methods course it continues looking at the many ways we find the differential of functions and relations. There are a number of worked examples (with some very tricky maths) which I use to scaffold the theory. Each example is explained in an easy to understand way.
