This video looks at how we can apply the understanding we now have to motion in a straight line. We only touch on this topic briefly in Mathematical Methods but it's important to note that Differentiation has practical and real world applications. This video forms part of the Year 11 (VCE Units 1 and 2) Mathematical Methods course. It's important pre-learning for Mathematical Methods at Year 12. I use a number of worked examples to show how we can go from an equation in terms of position/distance to velocity and then acceleration using differentiation. I explain what each of the terms means and then put them in context to a number of worked examples. All worked examples are explained in an easy to understand way.
